The PureTec APS is a benchtop system used for optimizing and automating laboratory tangential flow filtration (TFF), diafiltration and direct flow filtration (DFF, also called dead-end filtration) applications. The PureTec is excellent for lab-scale purification, as well as process development, filterability tests, filter size tests and the validation of TFF & DFF processes for scale-up investigations.

The PureTec™ is designed to process minimal volumes of material and includes a 500 ml feed reservoir incorporating a magnetic stirrer to ensure product mixing during concentration or diafiltration. Up to three pressures can be monitored with SciLog’s disposable pressure sensor assemblies (3 pressures are monitored: feed, retentate and filtrate) and one pressure, TMP is calculated by the PureTec. The PureTecs optimal control and system configuration produces Maximized Filtration Yield! The SciDoc Documentation Package, along with the PureTec, displays, calculates and compiles, and documents 11 filtration parameters; providing you with an instantaneous overview of your filtration progress and status.

This Excel based application also automatically populates graphs in real time. The PureTec gives you the information & control you need to optimize your filtration for maximized yield.The PureTec can be used with a variety of TFF Membrane and Hollow Fiber filter systems, from several manufactures, i.e. Pall, Sartorius, Millipore, etc. If your flow rates will exceed 2000 ml/min, the SciPure is capable of these higher flow rates.

Three different polysulfone retentate vessels available, 1000 ml, 500 ml and 50 ml. All have wells for magnetic stir bars, fit on the PureTec Stirrer, and have no internal threads on the connections. They are autoclave able, and can be sanitized with standard NaOH solutions.
