Design Features

Autoclaves in the Touchclave-R range are available in seven standard chamber sizes.

Front Loading - 40 70, 150 and 380 litres
Top Loading - 50,100 and 130 litres

All chambers are cylindrical. Steam is generated by heating water in a reservoir within the chamber, with air being removed by upward displacement. Protection against low water level is provided by a cut-out device. A relief valve provides against excess pressure.

The Touchclave-R 40 is designed for bench-mounting. Other models are floor-standing.

Alternative Control System
The Uni-program system stores one program at a time, and is suited to simple repetitive sterilizing applications. Alternatively you can opt for out new Multi-program TouchScreen Control System which offers superb benefits in terms of versatility (click here for more information).

Options and Accessories

Vacuum System/Cat 3
Vacuum System - This high performance system incorporates a liquid ring vacuum pump which provides vacuum conditions of 50mbarA and assists with air removal and cooling/drying. This option can be fitted to all floor standing Touchclave-R models.

When processing cat.3 loads, this option can be fitted in conjunction with the vacuum system. All liquids are returned to the chamber for sterilization, whilst all non-condensable gases pass through a 0.2 micron exhaust filter.

Auto-Fill
To keep the water reservoir in the chamber topped up, an auto-fill system is available on the Touchclave-R 70, 150 and 380. Two types are offered - an automatic system (which is only available if the multi-program control system is fitted) or a push-button system.

Condensate Unit
Available on all models except the 24 and 40 litre. When fitted to the autoclave, it condenses exhaust steam to warm water for draining away, in order to prevent steam entering the workplace or damaging plastic pipework.

NHS Upgrade Package
A number of additional features can be added to bring the autoclave in line with specific requirements of HTM2010.

Containers
In addition to standard shelving, Morrison discard containers, baskets, and loading trolleys are available for handling loads to be processed.
